51³Ô¹Ï is committed to educating the next generation about careers in construction. Last year, our teams visited schools, conferences and events across the U.S. to engage with kids through hands-on experiences. We proudly sponsored key events such as , , , Girl Scouts STEM Fest, Kuna School District Career Interest Fair and while setting up creative interactive booths to captivate young minds.

One of the highlights was a workshop where kids created plant pots using 3D-printed molds and plaster. They learned about 3D printing construction models and pouring concrete while working together on the casting process, fostering teamwork as they mixed plaster and poured it into molds. Another workshop allowed kids to operate remote-controlled cranes and practice snapping chalk lines on paper, gaining a hands-on understanding of construction tools and techniques.

Our employees also offered kids opportunities to operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, graders, rollers, telehandlers and concrete trucks. Additionally, they explored a 3D-printed model of one of our projects and used VR to fly through the model and laser scans virtually.

By connecting with youth this way, 51³Ô¹Ï employees sparked interest in future careers in construction and design, showcasing the industry’s dynamic blend of creativity and technical skills. The smiles and excitement on the kids’ faces reflected the success of these initiatives and their potential to inspire the next generation of innovators in construction.

On Thursday, September 20, 51³Ô¹Ï hosted their first Trade Partner Appreciation Event in Hawaii at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Hookupu Center in Kakaako. This event was a significant occasion for our company, bringing together our employees and over 80 representatives from 40 different trade partner firms. The special occasion celebrated and acknowledged the invaluable contributions of our trade partners, who play a crucial role in the success of our projects.

The event featured appetizers, drinks, networking opportunities and time to enjoy each other’s company outside of projects. The laid-back environment fostered meaningful conversations and helped strengthen professional relationships. A notable highlight of the evening was the Virtual Design and Construction team’s booth, where attendees could experience the benefits of virtual reality in construction. This interactive setup allowed participants to see how VR can enhance project planning, collaboration and overall outcomes in the construction industry.

During the event, 51³Ô¹Ï recognized five trade partners for their EXCELLENCE in safety. The companies honored were The Zelinsky Company, Porges Electrical Group Inc., Affiliated Construction LLC, Helix Electric and Harris Rebar. These partners have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining high safety standards on our projects. Their commitment to safety not only safeguards their own workers but also enhances the overall success of our projects by reducing risks and ensuring smooth operations, setting a positive example for other trade partners.

The Trade Partner Appreciation Event highlighted the power of relationships and the importance of recognizing our partners’ contributions. We are excited about the opportunities with our trade partners as we continue to work together toward common goals.
