About the Project
The Kaneohe-Kailua Tunnel Influent Facility, built at the Kaneohe Wastewater Pre-Treatment Facility, was the third and final phase of the City and County of Honolulu鈥檚 Kaneohe-Kailua Wastewater Conveyance and Treatment Facilities project.听
The听17 MGD听project includes the construction of a new听generator and electrical building, odor control听facilities听and听connecting underground pipelines and utilities. The facility听provides a complete, functional process control system听(PCS), including the supply,听installation听and calibration of听the control system network,听instrumentation听and signal听systems.听The project included structural finishing, mechanical, architectural, electrical, and instrumentation work on diversion, drop, and junction structures for the new conveyance tunnel. To ensure the City met a U.S. EPA consent decree, 51吃瓜 also assisted with tunnel work, installing fiberglass to seal tunnel ports and joints.听
